mpc 2500 RAM

Hi.
I would like to know if anyone have put in his mpc more than 128 Mb?
Every one who I ve told of this say me that it isn t possible,but it should be so cool

GET A SCREW DRIVER ( or cordless ) & OPEN UP THE BACK, U'LL CEE WHERE IT GOES...
NO ROCKET SCIENCE THERE....

yes i have a 256 mb ram in my mpc 2500, but since the hardware connector reads only one side of it i have the same 128 mb as everybody.
you can try to use a 512 mb module like this: http://www.cyberport.de/item/1084/996/0/6718/512_MB_SO-DIMM_PC100133_-_Mac.html?APID=101&zanpid=1140714244971439104 and look if you get 256 mb usable (sorry page is in german, but the technical specs are international).
if you do so and it works please report back here as soon as possible, because then everybody wants to use it...

And for Mr Pleasant,I don t want to know how put the RAM in,I ve done this with the akai official,but I would like to have more than 128Mb in RAM

I JUS PUT IT IN, WIT A LIL FORCE.... MAKE SURE ITS IN THA RIGHT WAY

But it works,no souci. It was just for know if anyone have test and if it works that put in a bigger .that s all.
