Some features on the 2000xl

I finally figured out the tap tempo note repeat.. awsome function!

But what's up with the note variation function? the fader doesn't do anything.. and what's handy on the track mute function?

Aaaahh now I see.. thnx!

But the track mute, is it a helpfull option? couse I don't see the use of it..

A next thing that isn't clear to me, is the swing function.. I can find it sure, but when I use it my drums getting very less swinging

dude you need to sit down and read the manual all the way through. the questions you're asking, while there easy for me or anyone to answer, its gonna be way more beneficial for you to learn the machine yourself. some of this is some really basic and fundamental stuff for rockin your mpc

Haha right after asking, I figured it all out.. very strange it didn't work before but now i've got the swing on it!

and there are so many other things to come....
after three years on the mpc I still find some things I haven`t used until then.
maybe this is caused by the manual... :)

I didn't know anything about noterepeat before I read a first post!
Then I found a feature which is similar to mutegroup. 8)

using Vel>Start point, can be used for a non destructive chop, whne edited finely from the step editor.

Go to PROGRAM --> Params, then move your cursor to Overlap, (You know, Mono, Noteoff...) and hit openwindow.

It's "MUTE ASSIGN" on page 126, 2kxl manual.

Another example that if you had have read through the manual, you would have known that already. :lol:

so wats mutegroups mean then? i thought mute groups = mute assign.

and if that made you laugh your ass off you need to get out more.
