Hooking up MPC 2000XL directly to my Roland XV 2020

I was wondering can I hook up my Roland XV 2020 directly into my MPC 2000XL thru midi and still keep my CD drive hooked in SCSI and work with just these three piece of equipment. Is this possible or do I need additional equipment like a midi hub. If not how is this hookup possible?
