hey guys im new the mpc 2500 and i have one question i listen to alot of hip hop instrumentals and sometimes when i hear the sample i hear the drums under it but its not as loud as the sample. i wanted to know how to do that. ive tried but i have no idea of how to do it. one example is y society's song "how many of us?". at the beginning of the song the intro is a piano loop and u can hear the drums but its really low. im lost on how to do this so if anyone can help me i would really appreciate it

thanks

its the drums from the piano sample, the producer probably tried to filter them out. you can hear this on a lot of samples but once the bangin drums come in it covers it up. peace

my bad big dogg, i didnt catch that but its all about the filters. **** wit the ones in the mpc and also before sampling it, like on your mixer or some sound editor on the computer. just try all kinds of shit
until your ears start to understand how filters work. also, i heard that you should filter out the lows of pretty much every sample that you use, with some exceptions. peace.
