I'm noticing that the MPC1000 doesn't have the newer cursor arrows like the other recent MPC's. How is everyone getting on with these? Can anyone compare them to the cursor buttons on the 2000/500/2500/5000?

I don't like those cursor buttons. It's not a complete disaster, but I prefer the 'normal' cursor buttons though. Sometimes I press another button instead of one of those cursor buttons, because they're the same as the other buttons located around the cursor.

Thanks for the feedback, pretty much what I imagined. Is any actually in favor of the MPC1k cursor buttons?

Once again, clean those tact switches

My MPC 1k works perfect. Every button and data wheel.

Since I have fat fingers the cursor is nicely spaced out compared to the 2500 where my fat fingers would always trigger the wrong cursor since it is so close to each other.

I personally like it... I have big hands so my fingers just rest fine on the buttons. the curser buttons remind me of the arrows on a keyboard and I love it!

I love my 1k, but I do prefer the cursors buttons on my 2k. A little joystick, or NES style arrow pad would work well too.

That would be awesome. I'm also jalous at the mv8800 guys with the option to plug in a mouse.

I hate using the mouse reminds me of using a computer. I'm more of a hands on guy but thats just me.
