noise when sampling

is it normal theres some weird tubey noise when go into MODE->RECORD. sound like wind moving through a tunnel

thats the mpc 500 ad converters comin into play the mp it colors the audio a bit especially if have the rec gain up all the way. it also can be u have a broken mp

Could be a ground loopish-issue you have there. Bear in mind that there's always some noise in analog pathways too.

It's normal. Most of the humming comes from the power adapter. Try to run it on batteries, it should remove some of the noise.

diggin, u sample through a (dj)mixer? check all the levels before sampling.

The frequency of hum caused by 'electric current-thingies' (excuse me my lack of deep technical knowledge) is around 50hz. You could use the new nifty hp-filter to take care of it.

I'm surprised at that battery suggestion. I find that I'm getting much more noise while ON battery power (especially low ones, lol). I would suggest the OP try using the power adapter, if he was sampling on batteries.

I have the opposit problem.
Well, that's weird!

Have you tried 2200 MAh batteries? I have noticed that when the batteries is almost flat the noise gets louder.

Brother I've got the 2600 Mah batteries, lol! Duracell rechargeables.

sounds like a feedback - you should set the "monitor" parameter of the recording-options menu to "off". Otherwise, you link the incoming signal direct to the out - feeeeeeeedback
