I got mpc 500 & I'm going to trade it in for another mpc becuse of less pads but I dont what mpc i should get I'm looking at the 1k but i heard the pads miss up easly.& I'm looking at the 5k but heard some problems with bugs but still really good i heard so far.. So I'm really looking to get the 5k but i want some opions for i do??? peace

1k is the shit!!!

i copped that myself and "Im in love with my 1k"

but the whole pad issue....u just gotta trust what u buy cus not all 1k's
come with defected pads...and if for some chance u do...

just buy the upgraded pads!

im only saying this because if you can afford the 5k then you obviously can afford the 2500

and if you can afford the 2500, you can afford a used 1000 - no need pay $300-$400 more for $15 dollars more in parts when the software is identical unless you're into that kind of thing

1K is the way. Bought mine brand new but with the old pad. So far so good 1 1/2 year going strong on the pad (knock on wood). I bought the 500 at first but after a week use it wasn't for me (small screen, less pad, and not user friendly.)

I'm am totally satisfied with my 1K and that has made all the difference.

Unless u still need a device to record ur beats with. Or ur also on the look out for a good synth...
But if u have those things already, why pay extra for a 5k. But if u do have the money, and also have a recorder and a synth on ur wishlist, than this must be a quiet easy decision.
