oxmocali, this is a nice idea, i like Logic for its "touch tracks", where any midi notes received, would trigger a predefined range of 'sequences', so as in the MPC, i'd love to have the seq's 1-99, triggered by note numbers or pad events....as an instant trigger for bashing up sequences one into another......and if it could be set to either mono or poly mode (like in track mutes, where samples either totally cut off the old with the new each time a seq is triggered) would be sweet.

i know theres PC>Seq events possible, and as ext>PC>seq, but it would be great to have internal triggering like this.

but look at the goddam mpc in front of you.

jeez!

hey smart ass, I'll rephrase what I was referring to for you to see if you can give me an answer and not just talk shiit. What I want to do is have a sequence punch in immediately when I hit the pad in Next Sequence WITHOUT using the SUDDEN soft key or a combination of the wheel and Play start button...Does that make sense?...If you can tell me how to do this then good, if not no need to get frustrated, and I apologize to not have expressed myself correctly the first time and taken a precious 20 seconds out of your busy schedule. Hope you will have time to answer this one if there is a solution though...
Thanking you in advance,
Relapse

here's a point i've reluctantly come to accept: the mpc is a compositional tool. at some point you must leave such performance functions to programs like ableton live.

just, just my opinon, right?

oxmocali - did that answer the question? i thought you didnt want to use the wheel to change seq.

im not 100% sure i understand what you're asking in your elaborated post -

are you asking if the mpc is capable of having sequences assigned to pads - and those pads being set to mono so that they play over/cancel the previous sequence?

i accept your apology for not expressing yourself correctly the first time.

Sort of on topic....

Is there a way I can assign samples to pads, without using the wheel?

You know so I press the pad and it makes a noise come out, like some sort of drum sound or a cool hiphop sample.

resamle your seq from the outs to the sample in's and turn them to poly so they cut each other off. Could be cool makein cut's at the Kicks and snares.
Haven't done it but I'm bout to!
