I have a MPC 2000XL Looping Question ??

Ok I was wondering if it is possiable to do this : I want to only loop where I start playing and where I stop playing like if I do a pattern that stops at (NOW:002.02.25) How can I make it so that it does not have that dead space in between (NOW:002.02.24-NOW:002.04.99) Any input will be appreciated! This could never happen. Otherwise, your set tempo would be inaccurate and things would just get all f*cked up since the tempo runs according to full bars. Follow Lamps advice!

go to bars and set the number of bars you want. note that you will have to get creative while doing this to acheive wat you want. I dont feel like thinkin out the math but say instead of stopping at 2.02.25 for the sake of me not doing the math lets say you wanted it to loop after 2.02.00.

now, you can only set bars in whole numbers im prety sure, i dont have the mp in front of me.

So to stop at 2.02.00 you would have to set the bars as 10/8. this might not be exactly right im a lil high typin this rite now but basically you can do what you want, THERE IS A WAY...you just have to think it out.

When the sample is playing at the correct tempo in relation to the drums, but you still have dead air space on your melody after 002.02.25, you can always find another sound to fill the space, or re-use one you already used, or use a percussion sound, or a record scratch, or something creative.
