2000XL Flicker problem

I just got a 2000xl the other day, It worked fine until now. When I turn it on it all the lights flicker for a second then the MPC dies out. I've tried 5 different outlets and I've messed with the power cord. It's a brand new MPC 2000xl with MCD. What could be the problem?

Could be a couple of things:

1. ROM
2. Motherboard
3. Power Supply

I bought it used but it has very low hours of use, it's definetly fresh. I just don't get why it would stop working now.

Actually, that is three things.

Actually could be your Memory too possibly but that usually causes unwanted white noise playing out the stereo outs.

Yea, I have no idea what to do now, I might make a short video demonstrating the problem. Should I wipe the memory cards?

If you want to try the memory open up the MPC and take out the memory sticks and use one at a time and see if anything changes.

IF you can't figure it out soon, take/send the shyt back, unless you bought it broken/as-is, with no return possible. Don't bother playing with it too much.

just curious as to why you would ask if there were any other suggestions when 714 already gave you three. try those out and see if they work. its more than likely one of those.

Bring it back, or ask some money back so you can let it repair.

If you have that money, first open the mpc yourself, check all cables. You could refit them. Power on MPC, solved?

It started working for about a day and then it started doing this bullshit again.
