Sample kits for mpc4k in 24/96 format,, where are they???

hahah ive looked into the nyquist theory its full on, ':shock:'

I always go 24bit but its just the sample rate that is im always in two minds about,
Thats a good point about the signal is only as good as the weakest link in the chain,
i think im gonna stick with 24bit44.1khz for now......ahhh decisions decisions.....

With 96K it's really for FX or super high fidelity (i.e. Classical Orchestral Recording). To make a real comparison you need to be using super high quaility recording path (great mic, good cables, great pre-amp excellent converters). If you are comparing something recorded on a £400 mic, through a £250 pre-amp into the MPC then you aren't gonna notice a difference. . .

Considering alot of (good quality) FX have their own default set bitrate to upsample anywhere from 32 to 128 bits, it wouldn't matter there. correct my if I'm wrong, I'm learning as well

Now according to the Nyquist Rate
To accurately reproduce a sound the sampling rate needs to be atleast double the highest audio frequency, our hearing range is from 20hz to 20khz which would equal 40khz

Now you would think ok, well we still can pick up these freqs regardless right? correct me If I'm wrong I haven't seen a mic that records much outside of this 20hz-20khz range,
96k would equal 48k, so esstentially your just burning up more sample time for stuff you cant even record
imagine 192k thats like 80% of stuff you cant even hear more less pick up on a mic

I agree with everything on the bit rate, but I still don't see why I would bother going beyond 44.1k and these test were done with avalon preamps, and a couple different neumann mics onto a pt hd3 system

So its def not the equipment... nothing offensive, looking for answers like everyone else, maybe I'm wrong, but def logical

Is there a difference in audioquality between 16bit samples while the mpc4k is set to 24bit,,,,, or 16bit samples and the mpc4k set to 16bit??? Besides the fx offcourse

There is a def gain in sampling 24bit on your mpc4k, 24 bit is pretty much the line beyond that its starts to become worthless as far as what your physical limits are
