hi
stupid and irittating problem i have.. i find myself changing the tone of a sample many times. il make a drum pattern and uset the tone shift on the slider to change the sample to what i want problem is when i recored my sample into the mpc the tone goes back to tis original setting! rarely those the mpc allows me to set the slider back to the desired tone through re recording in overdub.. but this is rarely

HOW do i ensure that once i change the tone of a sample using the slider that tone stays to that setting after i recorded it anyone helP!

Maybe you are not understanding the application of the slider too well.

Cause I know for a fact I can do this in my 2kxl, record my changes w/ nv slider and it reflect in my sequence
no mater what else I set the nv slider to later on. I'm pretty sure the 1k can do this also.

if this is true the how come 30% of the time i am able to recored permenent changes of tone adjusted by the slider i just dont know how i did it? im guessin its not a bug so there should be a wa for me to do it technically..

lampdog i agree with you that the mpc can do this i just dont know how to ensure that it those this evertime because in some beats it just dosent work out.. so if anyone out there can help me in identifying how to ensure perment change with the slider plz tell mE

Nym just told you and you still askin. Take the advice and run with it until you hit another wall.


Maybe "30% of the time" you are actually AT/IN the program level.
