hooking up mpc2000xl+yamaha keyboard

hello
i got the mpc and the keyboard and i try to connect them but it doesnt work.
i connect the 2 rca cables to the 1 phoned to keyboard and then i connect it to the mpc Record In.
i need to setup somthing in the mpc ?
please halp me

try turning 'thru' on so you can hear the keyboard when not recording.

you might need a pre amp to boost the signal from your keyboard.

goiin thru rca wont work you need to go miidii iin out the mpc an miidii out on da keyboard... then to a miixer ii thiink

i dont have a mixer but i have pre-amp
so what the setup i need to do?

ah, midi and audio are different things.

plug the audio out of keyboard into the preamp, then into the record in on the mpc.
turn thru on and that's it. hit record and you're off and running.

iif hiis pre amp has a rca iin an rca then doesnt he need rca to 1/4 to go iin to the mpc rec iin...cus thas how ii have my turntable goiin iin to my 60II
