scsi zip 100 with mpc2000xl

hi there,

i have an mpc2000xl and a iomega zip100mb, i have the right scsi cable and the zip is set to terminate as no other devices are connected. and i have it set to scsi 5.

my problem is that when i try to save or load or format a disk, i get a message saying "scsi not ready".

i have tried turning the zip on first then the mpc, and many other solutions suggested by u guys..

any input is appreciated.

in the save screen you have to change the setting from floppy or whatever it's set on to scsi 5 if you haven't already. hope this helps.

try going in to the setup screen in the load/save screen, ther' you change it to scsi 5 i cant remeber if that set's the scsi as a default device.

always turn zip on first
try setting it to scsi 6 (im sure you've done that)
i've had to unplug the zip drive for a few seconds & replug it before the mpc would recognize it before.

hopefully you get it to work. it took me a long long time to figure out that my first zip drive was broken. no wonder it was free!
