I don't think it works that way, I could be wrong.
I use a USB 100M zip drive to my G5, and then a SCSI 100M zip to the MPC.
I can transfer .WAVs from the G5, to the MPC.

Hope this helps

ive got an internal zip100 in my mpc and an external zip100 to my g5.
so i take it that i can turn a whole track into a wav. file then?
then i can play it straight in to my mac?
is that right?

I use the Zips to Transfer single .wav files (ie kick, snare, hat) not whole tracks.

What exactly are you trying to do?

Are you trying to record your MPC to your G5?

Do you have a software program to record to?
(ie Pro tools, Cubase, etc.)

i wanna record my mpc to g5 just to burn my tracks to cd
i dont have any softwear (pro tools cubase etc)
i was thinking of recording the tracks to itunes then burning from there
thats why i wanned to know how to record (transfer?) to my mac
but my mac only has optical in/out
what do you recommend without having to **** about too much?

Do you Have Garage Band on your Mac?

You could go stereo out of MPC (1/4 inch times 2 each would be mono), to the Line in on your G5 sound card (1/8 inch stereo).
You would need the 1/4 to 1/8 adapter.
That might not be the best quality but it would be the Cheapest way to do that.

gotcha
that might be good enough as the tracks are pretty gritty as it is
cheers
i have got garage band
why do you ask?
