did you change the name after you loaded the samples

example... it was program 1 then you loaded the samples , then when you saved you named it??

name it first then load the samples and save

I did that but it wasn't even that. The only explanation that I could think of is that I got a virus when I connected the computer to the MPC. I had to format the HD in the MPC and everything looks fine now. I actually lost my patience and started using the Bluebox and I have to say it is the shiit. I renamed all my sampe with numbers (ex. WonderSNR became S1), and now I find it easier to layer drums...I recommend it if you have more than a 100 drum hits to edit.

But yeah, has anyone gotten a virus on their MPC HD?? just wondering...

i mean, i know there is a virus on that computer and i dont know how to get rid of it

and I thought, since I connect the Mp to the computer through USB then why not?? it's possible isnt it??

i got the virus from a usb key , which is just a data storage device, just like the MPC's HD...

like I said, I formated the HD and everything is back to normal now

You mentioned Blubox...

When you use BLuebox to create programs, you must alsoload the samples on your MPC so thatthe Blubox pgm you created can find the samples... If not then it will not load upon reboot.

As far as the virus goes, downlods.com has an anti virus program called Avast... I have been using it for 2 years and have remained virus free for that entire time..... That is on 8 separate computers... There is a version for Macs as well. When you download it, make sure you register it so you can have the full version... And yes it is free... You can set it up to scan the drive on Your MPC when it is connected... It may take a while the first time, but it def works...

I have been having a prob with saving files, my MP tells me that the filename already exist... And I am never able to load it later.... Lets just say I have lost about 4 projects so far... I havejust started using my CF card to save and then transfer them over to the Hard Drive...

The virus would've had to be written for the MPC. Your MPC and computer don't sun on the same system software.
