Is there a way to change the pitch of sample w/o affecting its tempo in any of the JJOS's? I don't need to do it real time, I just need to do it.

create a patched phrase, depending on if its a loop or not. to be honest i havent used it much at all myself. so i can't comment to deeply.

Patched phrase changes tempo while preserving pitch (and also opens gaps of silence between notes when you slow it down because timestretch it ain't and yer way better off slicing the phrase into separately triggered samples the manual way) -- so it's not what you want.

Edit: confusing erroneous misinfo deleted to avoid confusion.

'pitch shift' in the trim screen preserves the tempo

tune in the program screen does not

just make sure you find the correct original tempo first

that's because he is wording in incorrectly, he's using the patched phrase feature which is not at all timestretching

there is both a pitch shift and a time stretch feature in the trim screen - I don't know how you are missing it

Sorry yea I finally found it you have to convert to patch first then you can change pitch....too close to the trees to see the forest....bah! thanks all

i still cant get it to work. when i convert to patched phrase. it just shifts each saple closer or further depending on tempo... doesnt actally timestretch...
