setting the MPC3000 back to factory default?

Press OTHER.

Goto the INIT PAR option. ( soft key 1 )

INIT ALL PARAMETERS. ( by using the rotary encoder to select )

I came from the [Ensoniq] ASR-10 to the [Akai] MPC3000 and I thought this was going to be a breeze

the menu interface is totally different

this is my first [Akai] MPC purchase and I intend to not give up on it

for some reason when I hit the REC+PLAY together it won't light up the meterone

I have to hit OVERDUB+PLAY to hear the meterone click but then when I hit the STOP button it can't stop

I thought bringing the MPC3000 back to the factory default would solve this

but I think something in the MPC function is holding this back

Sorry, already tried that and that doesn't work

it was working fine yesterday

I must've hit some kind of function in the MPC when I was learning/playing around with it, to turn this mode off

hit Main Screen

hold REC, hit PLAY

Sorry I got it working now

it had nothing to do with the function

it was because my REC and STOP button were a little stiff --- I guess I need to hit it more often to get it going

the guy who sold me the unit haven't used it in years, so maybe that's why

sometimes using a q-tip around all the buttons helps clean them up and help them not be so stiff.
