planning to buy MPC1000 2morrow, a few technicalquestions...

1. -the internal memory is for what? holding samples? and the flash is for saving sequences? so basicly the flash card takes over the MPC2000/XL's disc system? am i right?

2. -im aware that it comes with a flash card. should i upgrade?

3. -i hear a lot of problems with the 2kXL screen, anyone have any problems with the 1000? also, is it hard to see at an angle, or you gotta hover over it?

4. -i can or cant add an external ZIP drive?

5. -can i load samples from a CD to my MPC through an external CD drive, connecting by USB?

1. You were right about the flash and the memory. The memory hold your sequences and the sounds you have use of at the current time. The flash card holds sounds and sequences you want to save.

2. It comes with a 32meg card. I suggest you buy a 256 or a 512. They are both cheap enough

3. I haven't had a problem with the screen. good enough for me.

4. You can't add a zip you really don't need one. If you have a cpu just get a card reader. The 1K can only be a slave connected to a cpu.

5. If you have WAV's you want to load you will have to get them into your CPU then copy them to your card, I suggest you get the MPC program creator so you can assign them then have a prog already made so you can get crackin
