Is it possible to convert 3k files, so the 2k can read it? My 3k is broken and I dont think I'll be able to get it fixed for a while.

MPC2000XL does a 99.9% job of loading the MPC3000 files.
The 0.1% of times where it is "off" is beyond a simple explanation in this reply.
Suggestion.
Load the MPC3000 PGM/SND into your MPC2000XL.
Save loaded files onto a different disk than your MPC3000 formatted sources.

I mean, I'm not trying to be a dyck about it or anything but the 2kxl has been stable for years and what files it supports is listed in the manual.

Thats a pleasant surprise... I was thinking about dumping the 60 to buy another 3k. I think i might just pick up a 2kxl. Anybody want to buy a broken 3k?

How much are you giving it for and whats the problem with it?
