I just saw a mpc3000le sell for over $2000 last week! today i see an mpc4000 fully loaded sell for a little over $500 with free shipping? was this guy lucky or is the machine aging into paperweight?

The photo he had up was pretty lame to be fair. There could have been any number of things wrong with it that weren't shown.

I just saw a used blue 4k here in Japan at Ishibashi Music store for 2grand go figure.

Somethings not right with that one, either its not working properly or its stolen or some shit. 510$?

Its crazy how the resell is, its even more crazy knowing what it could be with a new OS.

As for the ebay listing, i think it was a scam, if you want people to email you outside of ebay, it usually is correct? Man i should have bidded!!!!

What happens is, these people hack the accounts of legitimate ebay sellers and post up these fake listings. And unsuspecting newbie buyers end up falling for it.

You can tell they are fake because:

1) NO MPC 4000 HAS EVER BEEN PRICED THAT LOW and
2) The contact information (email address, BIN price, phone number, etc) is usually a picture, instead of being written out as regular text thats part of the listing.

Yeah whats getting me is hes accepting paypal and hes inside of the US. Ill contact the winner and see if it worked out for him.

Good to know they 4000 is worth more than 500, i considering purchasing one.

every auction on mpc that says: "contact me first...email" is spoof.

its a scam for sure. i have seen that same exact listing in the last month about 6 times always with different pics of an mpc4000. im in the market to buy one right now so i have been paying pretty close attention. i have seen a couple legitimate 4000's go for about $750 though. i just didnt have my money up to buy it at the time. so i missed out.
