My MPC1000-BK has new pads, so I'm not sure it's as clear cut as saying the BK-N is the only model with new pads.

i'm pretty sure that the only difference between bk and bk-n is the pads. maybe i'm wrong though.

I can pull my pads out individually, so I think that means mine are the new ones. So If I have new pads, then you're sayin I have the BK-N? But when on look on the back of the box it only says BK. Am I missing something?

i have the BK, it has the new pads.

im sure it was covered in another thread, some of the later BK's made had new pads, and the BK-N's (as far as i've been told) definitily have the new pads.

if anyone has any doubt as to what the different pad sets look like, watch the pad replacment video on youtube.

you can see the old pads at 1.15, and the new ones at about 4.49
