LE - Best bang for the buck?

Hello, great forum here... very well done!

I have done much research on the mpc/mv, the majority of it coming from this site. I have made my decision on the MPC and am now prepared to purchase this weekend... however I'm not quite sure on the 2500 or the 2500LE.

I have searched the forums and it only resulted in in post speaking about it with brevity or threads discussing the LE when it was first released and members just commenting on the colors and how just a color change did not justify the price increase- neglecting to mention the upgrades.

To break it down:

The upgrades the LE comes standard with would cost $460.00 to add to the basic 2500.

Guitar Center Prices…

MPC 2500 Limited Edition = $1,999.00

MPC 2500 = $1,799.00 (oddly enough went up $100)+ $200.00 + $150.00 + $110.00 = $2,260.00 (Believe I can get a price match for $1,699.00 but still cost more than the LE)

So the LE is really the better deal, no? ...am I missing something here?

Just want to make sure before I make my purchase.

give the dude a call! it's evrything u need way cheaper...

it's not worth getting brand new, unless you got it like that. check craigslist, second hand units go for real cheap.

Yeah I have seen some good deals on Craigslist... and I know they are in "mint" shape and just as good as new- but I would rather just purchase brand new. Thanks for the link tho.
