so i've started using an alesis micron with the mpc (after having one, selling it for a microkorg, and then wondering what the hell i was thinking, selling the mk and buying another micron....) and they work great together (i'd recommend it to ANYONE especially with an mpc b/c you can split tons of sounds onto tons of tracks and sequence them all independently but play them silmultaneously... [which is why the mk had to go]).. thing is:

anytime i change the program on the micron it sends a pc signal to the mpc which changes the track's program. gets very frustrating. anyway to disable the mpc from recieving prog change messages?

On the 2kxl there is a midi filter, see if there is something like that in the 1k manual that is described or touched on...
