Check the manual first, you convert a seq in song mode, then either record it to your daw of choice or resample back into the MPC as a wav file and transfer that way

In the 1k manual there is also mention of a main out record, u should look into that. Creates a wav file of your beat onto cf. then you can usb the mpc to computer and drag the wav file from the cf to computer. Look it up.

yeah, the record main out is definitely a handy one - but in the future you will probably want to look at tracking out into software/DAW so that you can do some post work to make it shine a little more
you can do loads on the mpc alone in terms of production, and its definitly all about making beats rather than being a sound engineer ... but its definitly worth looking into 'midi sync' 'tracking out' ect. to get the most out of your beats.
(i should also point out that how you link your mpc up to computer and software will vary depending on what hardware and software you use, and people may be less able to help you here regarding that.)

cmon, u can't think of anything that you have set that would make it sound different. think.
Dig into your setup and find out all effects, volumes, settings, everything.
