Hi guys, maybe this question has been posted before, but coulndt find it so here it goes:
On an mpc1000 with jj os, Can you change the sample start point of samples while the sequencer is running?
also, can you move it in real time with the q link sliders and record the changes in the sequencer?
This is the feature that my old asr10 had and i really miss it, Im a mpc3000 user and you cannot do that unless you get the unofficial vailixi OS...maybe this feature is standard in the mpc1000 akai os but im not sure..
I love the mpc3000 but im gonna move abroad and this thing is so bulky and expensive to move that an mpc1000 with jj os looks like a better option at the moment.

Thanks in advance!

You can automate the start point with JJ OS I believe v1 and v2 with the qlink slider.

yeh i used it alot on the 2000xl, modulate sample start by velocity, can achieve a crude non destructive chop. now you also access the trim screen and make realime changes, it does glitch the sequencer a bit though.

Brilliant guys, thanks a lot :)
Just one more question: can you play the sequencer while you are in the "record" screen (so you can record live instruments/vocals while you listen to the sequence currently selected in the main screen)? if i can do that then the mpc100 will pretty much replace my mpc3000 + asr10. BTW sorry if this has been asked before but couldn't find it in previous topics and the operators guide is not that clear in this area.
cheers!
