Guys, a fellow dj friend of mine knows I've been working with samplers for some time and came up to me for help programing a ne Roland MC-808 he bought.
I've had a chance to play with it for the last week, and every time I turn it on I regret it's not the MPC.
the MPC roooooocksss compared to the 808, it sounds better, it's easier to work with, and more fun.
the only good thing the 808 has it's internal sound generator (with all the synth sounds and drums, etc)
I love my MPC!!!

dameister, thanks for the respect man. We need more peeps like you. It's sad that now a days when you voice your opinion you're either a hater or "buggin". Good looking out man.

I didn't mean to imply disrespect, sorry if I came off that way. Its just how I talk in normal convo... Doesn't quite translate on forums I see. Anyway, relax, its just an anonymous forum...

Lets try again:

I respect your opinion, but I fail to see how you could consider such a limited sampler beyond comparison. I would agree that no other hardware sequencer compares, or even sequencer/sampler combo, but in light of such worthy machines as the Ensoniq ASR-10, the EMU EOS series, the Yamaha A-series, and even Akai's own S-and Z-series (all of which I would consider superior samplers to any MPC, including this new one, I just don't see how you could make that statement...
