sampling rates

Whatz good, quik question. How is it that under the mpc comparison chart
the mpc 500 has 2 different sampling rates 22k and 44k? thanks in advance. chuuch! Is the 22k the sp1200 sound?

So Lamp, the difference in sample rates does that have anything to do with the bit grunger effect. I gots my manual at the crib, but right now im at the gig,so I can't really start digging for the info.

the grunger fx is more like desk overdrive, if you run a 909 kick thru it at max level its pure gabber

The grunger only manipulates with bit depht. Bit depht is the horisontal resolution of data, and the 44KHz is the vertical resolution of data. If you want the sound from the older machines, you can try to turn up the resonance on on a sound, pitch it up 12 seminotes and then resample. In trimmode you go to the pitch of the new sound and pitch it down 12 seminotes. Assign the new sound to a new pad where you also turns up the resonance. Now the new sample is 22kHz and the resonance simulates the non anti-alias as on the older models. Try it
