I got it. That is perfect! Now it is so easy to turn alternate looping on. I didn't even realize how much I wanted this. JJ spoils us. I can't wait to see what he'll come up with next.

yeah i mentioned this last week in a bug report. fortunately, there's another nice way to do this as well with chopped samples, suggested by brilliantly suggested by mikolo:

-create a sliced sample program (say 32 or more slices)
-say you forgot to turn the parent sample to ALTLOOP and you want to ALTLOOP all these samples (which i do on practically every sample i slice)
-turn PGM TRIM on, and hit every pad sequentially while hitting the LOOP ON button
-then hit every pad sequentially again while spinning the data wheel in the TRIM field
-then lastly, hit every pad sequentially while adjusting your start/end and loop points.

this is SO much faster a process than the old way of sample by sample going through in REGULAR TRIM mode.

could any of you gents summarize the Alt-loop feature, it's something i didn't know about , how are you using this?

appreciate it.

alt loop means that the sample plays until it reaches the end , then plays backwards - you can also set an alt loop start point so that you can cut off the start of the sample when it loops back around again.

example:

i apply this to a sample, also changing the decay, and applying that sample to an instrument program.

i think i get it, is there an option to make it loop from what ever loop start you want instead of looping backwards?
