That's good they took the auction down. If you're stealing pics for an item you are selling that means you're fixing to steal something else- however:
In most cases anyone can cut & paste ANY picture off the net and the photographer can't do shit!
If someone took a few MPC pics & put them on their myspace page or even on their CD art- folks have no recourse unless you copyrighted your photos & then there'd be more issues since the Akai brand owns the trademark for their product.

Putting a pic up of cool gear is like file sharing for cool music- if it's up there- someone's going to nab it.

Does anyone remember that Ayatollah CD "Now Playing" had mad generic cutouts of MPCs on the cover that was like from the Sweetwater catalog or some shit- I'm sure he was paid by Akai via product placement deal.. like if you made a video and featured _________ gear, they should be giving YOU $$$ for advertising---

One more time too: Shame on parents putting baby pics all over the internet- buy a photo album people!

Soooooooooooooo VERY possible... I know somebody with

60 MK1 3.10e w/SCSI and Card Reader
SP 1200 (depending on if the sale goes thru)
2 Emax 1 SE's w/SCSI upgrade
Kurzweil K2000RS
2 Laptops (1 Sony Vaio still in the box)
1 desktop (Soon to be 4. Got the 2400+BE and 5400+BE chips but no time to build. Gathering parts and waiting on Xmas/G.W. Bush recession prices for Q6600 build)
37" 1080p HDTV LCD / 19" LCD (both new in box for mixing)
Wont list the rest of the gear...synths/drum modules/turntables/motorized mixing desk etc etc....

the icing is.. a Lexus ES300 that takes him to the gig everyday.

He has NO CAMERA! Not even a working CAMERA PHONE! LOL...

STOP MAKING HIM FEEL BAD!

Mind you I personally jack whole Ebay listings. Sometimes out of pure laziness... (change the words a lil to fit my specific purposes). Jacked pics? Mannn please...lol. I have never taking a picutre of an Ebay item I was selling EVER!!!! Only diff is.. the stuff I have sold is usually new and sealed in box. I got 3 used Treo 650's im about to put on Ebay if I ever get around to it. I had no intentions of borrowing a camera to take a pic of them until now. Im sayin... if the seller is a REAL seller...and isnt trying to claim you are buying what is pictured... lol, ease up young timers. Ya'll some hostile video game playing mofos. I gotta watch out for random Ebay stalkers doing Street Fighter 2 flip kicks in my driveway?

So to recap:
YA'LL ARE BOGUS!
A MAN IS NOT A HORRIBLE PERSON FOR NOT OWNING A CAMERA!
and SCREW YOU GUYS...IM GOING HOME!

Shortie, I didn't realize this topic was so personal to you, and let me first apologize for apparently hurting your feelings. I really am sorry baby girl, I was really only making fun of this person with all the stuff I listed, yet has no camera. I think at least one perosn realized that. Anyway... im a lover not a fighter and really dont play the e-gansta, so I really cant respond to the anger and hostility you are displaying, other than to offer to buy you a drink if you are ever in my city.

Couple of things though....

1. I didn't have to dig through pages to find this post. This forum has always moved kinda slow.. compared to some others so it was only on the 2nd page.

2. Too lazy to take a picture? "minus" Do-not-own-a-camera "divided by" Reading "equals" FUN-damental. But hey I will cut you some slack. Maybe you were high when you replied to my post addressing a comment Rhythmonster made. It happens.

3. Turn the MPC and the computer off, go outside and enjoy some real life. Nothing said on these forums (or the internet for that matter) is serious enough to get all up in your chest about like that... unless it directly impacts you $$$.

Im not sayin'... im just saying (c) Jerry Seinfeld

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know thats gonna fly over some peoples heads.. Good one though..

And actually DetaiL is cool as far as im concerned...just a hostile mofo. I joke around a lot, but I dont really dont stress this stuff joe. Too many brews unopened and ladies unattended...

I got better things to be mad about... like that Kimbo Slice fight this weekend... Yall see that ish? If you blinked, you wouldve missed it... We had brews, wings, and two flatscreens going at my brothers house... and womp womp is right...

I used to wonder sometimes if some cats work with a crew... Taking an L on ebay fees to get enough positive feedback to pull off "The Big Score". My boy J got "GOT" twice, one for a 3k he was selling, the other for an 3KLE he was buying. IN THE SAME 2 WEEKS. anyway... most ebay scmmers are idiots, but I wonder sometimes if there are some next level cats out there. Buyer/Seller beware I suppose.
