MPC1000 pgm editor for mac?

It may be good, but costs $20. :(

So I'm doing something about it.

I started working on my own PGM editor exactly one week ago and already have the PGM format figured out, and can read and edit all of its values. :) All that is left is the simple writing out of the file. I was going to finish it off tonight, but decided to make music with the MPC instead ;)

The GUI could use some work too I suppose. Here is a screenshot:

When I'm finished, I'll post a link to my website where everyone can grab it. It will be able to do much more than MpcPgmMaker, so I was thinking that a price around free would be good.. ;)

Thanks, that would be great - and I'd love to download it and use it. My problem is that I don't have a credit card so I can't buy anything online, and there's no other way to buy the Mac program other than online. So thanks again.

Wow - I think your program looks way better then MPCPgmMaker - glad I waited!! And I noticed your allows param, filter and slider information too!! Excellent!!!

Will it run of 10.2.x, BTW? If not, I'm defintely upgrading!!!

Any chance of akp file imports in future updates? lol.. sorry.. gettin ahead of myself a bit.. but ya know.. thats the feature thats mising from all the mac pgm makers... be nice to see..

that aside.. nice job on the interface.. dont look bad at all to me.. :)

Definitely. The source code for the application will be freely available. And, when I get around to it, I'll document the PGM format.

Oh man - I actually paid for the Mac MPCPgmMaker when the codes from Serial Box wouldn't work. What your working on looks awesome dude.

looks superb ! :D

I had an idea to "evolve" the editor so that it becomes fully configerable in software ie a virtual mpc1000. That way you could do editing on the computer and send the information to mpc (compactflash ) for playing live / studio etc..

Would this be a mammoth task or is it possible ?

You might want to check with Akai about that - it may break their copyright if you were to publish that code.
