Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hi, I was hoping if you can help me on the mpc4000.
I got my mpc connected to a motif 6 for triggering sounds, when I make a sequence and loop it, it works fine But when it goes into sequence 2 there is a slight glitch at the beginning of the motif 6 sounds on playback. So when I turned off the program change function on motif 6 it played fine, but now that the program change function is turned off, I can't control changing presets from mpc4000... Is there' another way to get rid if the glitch without having turn program change off on the motif 6 so i an still change motif 6 presets from mpc4000?
Greetings

To me, it sounds like a problem with your Motif. If you use another sequencer to use Program Change on the Motif 6 does
it work properly? Do you get the same behavior with other synths when doing Remote Program Changes from the 4000?

I use Program Changes for my live act, to simultaneously send Program Changes at the beginning of each Song to
5 different synth, my Behringer BCR2000, the MPC 4000 itself (to change the Multi), 4 FX boxes patches, and if I"m
playing with my partner, his MPC 2000xl and I've never had any issues with program changes since they fixed
the Slow Multi Changing issue on OS 1.60.

My live sets are set up like a DJ set (as I play Electro, Techno & House) with 1 song going into the next one with no stop,
so the dancers can keep going. So I"m literally going from Next Sequence to Next Sequence... changing all my synths and other items. If there was a glitch, I would see it in the Dancers faces, even if I had missed it....

I know this doesn't directly help you other then helping point you on the way to seeing where the problem lies....

Cheers,
Dave

I don't have a Motif.. but every synth that I've tried works as expected... so we'll have to wait to see if anybody
has a Motif/4000 combo to see if Yamaha has an issue..

Have you tried what I suggested earlier, trying to do a program change on the Motif from a different sequencer from the 4000,
to help see if it's the 4000 or the Motif? For example, if you do the same steps but on Cubase instead of MPC 4000.. .do you get the same "glitch"?

I used to have MV800 and it worked fine, also i tried a sound module fantom XR and samething...
THe PRoblem is Only when playing the Sequence 1 going into sequence 2 at the only begining points of sequance... what synths have you got connected to your mpc???
