Replacement Pads for Mpc1000 (UK) and sampling own playing

Couple of quick questions from a newbie (based in UK, mpc1000 with 128k memory upgrade and JJOS v1)

1. I'd like to get the set of replacement pads, but doing a google search to find the company (mpcstuff) it says that there is a wait of several months for pads. Does anyone know of somewhere in the UK where I can get them quicker.

2. I have a drum loop, and also a bass 'program' so I can use the pads to play a bassline over the drum loop. Can I record this to a sample from within the MPC1000 ? i.e. I'd like to sample myself playing on the mpc1000, is this possible ?

1. If there was a way to get them faster, people would've done that.... so I'm afraid you just have to wait.

2. Yes, record your bassline on mpc, then put the basslinetrack to solo and then just record the output... eazzzyyy...
