okay so ive been searcing this forum inside and out tryign to figure this out but havent found anything..so i need some help plz!!! so basically i am using logic 7 with mpc 4000 and a proteus2000 as a sound module..i have my mpc 4000 midi ins going into my midisport 8x8 midi ch 1, midi out a of my mpc 4000 going into the protues2000 midi A ins. so the thing is..when i use out-A ch1 to record a kick on my mpc...then do a pgm change on the module, the kick changes to the like a sythn or piano etc... so basically when i create my drums..and then decide to use the another preset on my proteus, all the drums sounds changes also..is there a specifc setting i am suppose to change on the mpc 4000? also in logic's enviroment i have everything set up..i have a multi instrument connect to a channel splitter.(all of the channels from the channel splitter r connected to each corresponding instrument channel).into a physical input.....if anybody could help..i would greatly appreciate!!!!

make sure you turn the program changes off in the mpc and that the proteus isnt sending them either! thats causing your problem. and make sure your using individual midi channels for the mpc to trigger the proteus.
I.E.
track 1/midi channel 1- drumkit,
track 2/midi channel 2- instrument
. . etc. and if you wanna have your drums on they're on channels just change the track and not the midi channel.
I.E.

track 1/midi channel 1 kick
track 2/midi channel 1 snare
track 3/ midi channel 1 hi hat
....etc.....etc....
