diggin at good wills?

anyone ever find any good digs at the good will? they just opened one up by my pad, i plan on going gold digging

I like going digging at places like that. The prices are cool, the randomness is cool. Only thing is, the records are usually not in the best condition. You can however get really lucky and find some pretty ill stuff there.

Goodwill is all about tons of Lawrence Welk and Gene Audrey, but occasionally you hit something worth buying.

i can dig that .. goodwill has some stuff sometime ... its better to find a good head shop that sells wax or a cool mom&pop record stop

Exactly, Goodwill isn't usually a place you would normally be walking out with an armful of wax. If you do, you are probably walking out with a lot of garbage.

It's best you just pick up the couple records you find.

I like Goodwill and places like it, cause I actually enjoy finding the gem in huge piles of random wackness.

That's how I found weird off the cuff records that didn't fit the usual digging genres, but have really dope samples on them.

Came up on the Jackson 5 greatest hits. The emotions LP, wit don't ask my neighbor. A richard pryor Lp, The list goes on, and they only charging 25 cents a record,can't beat that! Its just having to get pass the senior citizens looking for jewelry and tupperware. Them old ladies is ruthless on saturday mornings.

thrift stores and swapmeets are where the DIGGIN goes down... the "goodwill" stores out here in LA are pretty much burnt, they want like $2-$3 a record now, and most the spots is dry as flowers by now... you always gotta keep checkin up though, TIMING IS EVERYTHING!

The Goodwills got hip to the game somehow over here too. They want $2 a record. We even have a Value Village here that actually prices records based on worth...so you can end up spending record store prices at a thrift shop. Really sucks!

yea i hate thrift stores where they THINK they know what some schit is worth... fucn clueless azz employees and schit tryin to act like they got some knowledge... schits really hit and miss nowadays, you can come up hard, and sometimes you can overpay on something that woulda been cheaper brand new... the pricing is so fucn random and seemingly has no basis in reality half the time... thrift stores definitely arent the goldmine they used to be in the 90s... there are of course exceptions, mostly the mom and pop thrift stores... the chain thrift stores are a joke now imo...

In chitown good wills called unique thrift charge 25 cnts a record.

i found a 200 record for 69cents, i bout sh!tmyself. those are the days thatdiggin for records make you feel like a millionaire. that balcknugget of gold BLACKGOLD

I've been hitting up a flea market where the guy seems to price stuff based on what he thinks is good music. That means Rolling Stones and The Dead are $10 but everything else (including some real nice soul and jazz) is $1.

some them records you seening are prolly worth more or not it all depends there's some minor detail he aint telling you or you don't know....pick up a price giude once in a while and you'll see what i mean....but then that's only info for serious collectors that don't just dig for samples.

we have some stuff in our classic rock section that are realy rare findings

I always dig up some decent stuff at Savers... all records 99cents.

yeah man i hit the goodwill usually whenever i'm in the area. it's only 1 dollar for records. i've found some funny stuff, and also some usable stuff like peter niro and some funky shit.
