I have an offer on the table where I can either pay $250 (I know that's a pretty great deal, but being 17 that's still a lot of money to be throwing around) or trade my Micro Korg for an original MPC 60. After seeing what the 60's are going for online, it seems like a pretty great deal, but I do have a few concerns:
-what's the deal with the s950? Is it even worth having the 60 without it?
-are there many differences in terms of operating the 60 compared to the 1000 (other than the obvios difference in sample time)?
-does it really "sound better" than the modern MPC's? I hear a lot that there's a certain warmth and rawness to the 60.
-how do I get my samples/drum programs onto the 60? I have them all saved on my PC since the 1000 has USB connection...how do I get my sound library onto the floppy disk which my computer does not have a drive for?
all in all, is the MPC 60 worth it?
thanks in advance,
Greeny
