I think you put the akai os on the flash (not in a folder)and take the jj off .
Turn on the mp while holdin down the window button and it should go to the boot screen.


Haven't done it in awhile. Why you wanna go back to the akai os?

hey delete... without wanting to sound like a d!ck here, i think you should know that switching back to the AKAI OS from JJ OS is just about the DUMBEST thing an mpc1k owner can do [unless you need to return the unit and want it to look like factory default].

seriously, the AKAI OS can't even save a project properly... don't even bother with it & give thanks for the JJ OS. there wouldn't be a whole forum devoted to the JJ OS if it wasn't the proper system for the 1000.

thanks everyone.... i know that the jj os is the way to go... i bought the mpc of off ebay and it needs some help.. it is full of glitches.. i just want to restore it to factory and start all over....

No need to go back to the Akai OS to restore the settings. Just do a factory reset, format your CF cards and hard drive, and then install the latest version of the JJ OS1 (and JJ OS2 if you have that as well).
