travelling with the 500

i'm vaguely thinking of getting a 500 for when i go overseas just to mess with, how do these little fellas hold up on the road? not sure they'd be as sturdy as my 2kxl
anybody else done this?
also whats the battery life like

I took my 500 everywhere. It's perfect for that. Battery's will last for 4 hours. At least that was long enough for me.

Yeah,when Im travelling to different labs,I bring the mp with me. Its like a little tank.

I trawl mine around with me all the time. Took it on holiday to Spain in my hand luggage last month. Sat on the beach punching pads like a freak. Was a bit worried that the heat would kill it, but it didn't seem too bothered. It's pretty resilient.

The 500 feels like a sturdy piece of hardware. For all the talk about it being a toy or not legit, the thing is really well built. I'd still take precautions to protect it nonetheless, but it's no cheap box.

And how is the battery life when using rechargeables..is, for example, 2000mAh enough?

I think the battery life is what counts, the rechargeables should work at least as well as alkalines..theres really no use for them if they don't perform well enough.. They are a bit pricey to me so I want to be sure..

i just posted about rechargeable batteries. they work well and are really the only way to go. (six batteries for only four hours of operation is a big waste of money, and pretty horrible for the enviroment.) by my best approximation i get about four hours of use out of the rechargeables i bought. check out batteryjunction.com for cheap rechargeables.
