Trimming samples

why is it when i record a sample i go to trim and dont even see a waveform on the Sample1? its just a straight line with a couple dots. anything im doing wrong? Because of this i cant even adjust the start point. HELP!!!

Is it a stereo sample? If so, try to switch the "View:" field from Left to Right.

also I was thinking you might used the wrong type of 1/4 adapter for sampling.

That can also cause no signal on one side of a stereo waveform like you stated.

Your sample inputs are each mono.
