Now my mpc 2500 takes a lot longer to chop a sample. Has any one experienced this?
what are the upgrades from vrsion 1.22 to 1.24.

Damn. Once I finish this track I'm working on I'm buying JJ.

I thought everybody on here was just talking shit about the saving issues but losing sequences and chops after saving is OUT OF THE QUESTION to me.

Not even going to bother with 1.24 with these reports of it being slow...

i have not gone with jj os myself yet. but im sure its worth the little bit of money for constant bug fixes. akai should realy start doing more for those people who dont wanna spend the extra cash on a new firmware. but then again i hardly think akai would do the same job as what jj is doing even if they got extra cash for it...

Yeah, you can find 1.22 at http://www.akai-pro.jp/

The upgrades in 1.23 and 1.24 are listed at http://www.akaipro.com

The JJ OS adds a ton of features to the MPC.
JJ was a programmer for Akai until they went bankrupt and fired everyone. Since then JJ has emerged on his own and fixed all of Akai's bugs, while adding new features for a reasonable price.

and the seasons, they go round and round
and the painted ponies go up and down
we're captives on a carousel of time...
we cant return we can only look behind
from where we came
and go round and round and round
in the circle game

Keys that jingle in your pocket
Words that jangle in your head
Why did summer go so quickly?
Was it something that I said?
Lovers walk along a shore
And leave their footprints in the sand
Was the sound of distant drumming
Just the fingers of your hand?

Im having the same slow-choping problem, with long sample it just dont works. Is the free JJ any good ? im satisfied with the akai one so im not really willing to pay. I know it's got a lot of feature but u know, im kind of used to it, and i didnt really had problem with it before today, i'll try to load older version

so if any1 tried that free JJ, tell us ! :P
