How much do you love your mpc2000/xl!!

2000XL was my first MP and f*ckin' loved it! I graduate to the 4000 though because of its flexability but guess what..i'm gettin' this lady back soon,mostly for live use and travelling.

its the middle child of the mpc world - the quiet acheiver, flying under the radar while being truly under-appreciated. When it comes to a trade off of price/build quality/features/being totally pimp old school beige coloured I know where my vote stands

i love sequencer of my 2K. it interacts perfectly with live.

yeh i sold my 2000xl now i rock the 1000. the sound & swing is noticibly different between the units, doing countless side by side comparisons, the XL still had more punch and the swing was alot precise.

but i do luv the JJ os, especially the pitch ADSR, now i can synthesize my own drum samples using basic waveforms.

The 2KXL is my first born. I have worked whole entire nights on it. Love workin with the SD card feature. I have no need for any other beat machie right now.

The 2000xl is the first MPC I ever owned.
First night I got it I drove straight home from 40 miles away , plugged it in and turned it off the next day at about 10 am.
I was supposed to have been at work at around 8.
Needless to say , I never went back to that job.
I had never used an MPC in my life before that.
Maybe it doesnt have the same sound as other MPCs or the swing but this thing is dope straight up.
I got the effects card a while later , though to be honest I've never even messed with it much and I have the 8 outs and the MFC-42.
I just picked up the MPC 3000 the other day and my girl was like ,"guess you can get rid of that other one now".
I'd get rid of her first.
No homo.

Now if only I can find an internal card reader that's not priced like a months rent.

Yup.
That's what I've got.
Internal zip since day one but this card reader business is getting out of hand.
Stuff is WAY too expensive.
Damn reader cost more than a couple samplers.

Hmm...Well I aint getting into nothing so I'll just say , I aint in a rush to over pay for something that should be about $50 at most. I mean , I wouldn't mind dropping $75 or even a buck twenty but some of these guys are WAY over that.
I know some folks gotta eat but this is ridiculous.
My fault though , I shoulda jumped on this sooner.

I think that's the problem... it'll get more and more expensive to buy into the card reader deal the longer you wait. I payed around £70 and got a reasonable deal all in all. Hopefully you'll be able to grab one soon.

I would pay that for an internal card reader.
