Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

has anyone had a situation that when they want to erase a note by over dubbing and holding erase+the note it doesnt go silent (whilst you're deleting it)?
i think it still deletes it
but sometimes the note keeps playing (even though i have pressed stop on my sequence.)

this seems really weird. the only way i can stop this note repeating itself is by pressing it again and it stops.

i can of course delete by poressing open window, but this seems strange and im trying to see if my pads have a problem (however ihave tried assigning it to a different pad and it still behaves the same)

so i tried to change the parameters of this sound thats acting differently from all the others..but this one I cannot change from note off (neither to poly nor mono)...is that normal?

any advice most welcome thx!

Maybe you have it loop on. Loop on acts a little different when you go to the params screen again.

The delete thing, I don't know.

thanks lamp

yeh i considered that....however that would not keep it playing even when i stopped pressing the button and the sequence had stopped playing would it?

thx

Maybe you are not on the correct track when trying to delete that note.

If the note is trk1 and you are currently showing trk2 on main menu, then you will not be able to delete the trk1 note.

R u on the correct trk when trying to delete?

yeh track is always correct, however i think you were onto something with the loop on part...i reckon that was the cause.
