ABOUT TO THROW MP4K OUT WINDOW!!! I NEED ANSWERS!!!

1. I used to own a MPC2000XL lets say i'm trying to chop a sample in the 2xl when your in trim/edit mode the playback engine seems to be on note off meaning when I release my finger from the pads the sample still plays without abruptly stopping when a pad is released. Is there a way to change this on the MPC4K when your SAMPLE/TRIM mode? In the MPC2000XL I would mess around with the slider and move the start/play points to different parts of the sample for inspiration and to come up with different ways to chop that particular sample. On my 4K when in Trim mode the playback engine is on note off so I'm not able to do this. Is there a way to change this on the MPC4k? Please let me know.

2. How do I change view when in trim mode? I'm not seeing the full wav. All I see is a super close up of the wav file. Please someone help me with this.

Did you bother to read any part of the manual or the newbie bible?

All I'm gonna say is PAD 16

press shift then block cursor to zoom
check the stickies its all there.

Or you can export that .wav using ak.sys to your favorite editor, which can further your editing possibilities.

I haven't even had a chance to touch my 4k yet, but I've browsed these same issues in the 4k manual a few times already.

I don't know if you've read through this thread or not, but almost every question that he asked has been
specifically answered on how to do it. 1 person told him to press Pad 16. Another person told him this:
press shift then block cursor to zoom.


So the answers were provided, though we've yet to get ANY feedback from the original poster...

Guys Ive had the MPC for over 2 years now and I'm pretty efficient with it. I won't be throwing it out of the window anytime soon. I just wanted you guys to answer two questions. 1. Is there anyway to set the playback mode in TRIM mode so when I release the pad the sound doesn't abruptly stop? #2. I figured out already.

would you like to share with the rest of the group how you figa'd it out?
