CF support

Yo' MPC's Maniacs!
If somebody knows, is MPC: 500, 1000, 2500 support CF types like: Sandisc ULTRA 2 or EXTREME 3 ?
However If makes it ,is waves or snds are loading realy faster? I'll be thankfull for some responds.

He wants to know if these newer, faster CF cards will load samples faster than other CF cards out there.

The answer to that is no. It won't make a difference. The cards should still work reguardless. But there won't be a noticeble difference in the time it takes to load on the MPC. However, you may notice a difference while transferring from an external USB 2.0 card reader to your computer.

I mean when you use those kind of card in for (example: camera) data is loading more faster then when you use standard Compact Flasch. You know what I'm say?

Okas distortedtekno, thankx. But Did you tried those type of cards (ultra or extrem)? I mean: Is MPCs supports them??

I never heard about those cards not working. So I'm sure there won't be a problem. Just remember to format them on the MPC before saving your work.

Somewhere, I recall people using the Ultra 2 and they work fine.

Hey guys I got a question...
What size CF card are you using on your 2500's?

I currently own a MPC 500 and use a 4gb SanDisk Ultra II with no issues.
I just hope my 4gb will work on the 2500 as well cuz I know that Akai Pro claims that the maximum size card is 2gb.

No, but I'm sure I've read about it in the RAM and CF sticky, or somewhere else in the forums.

I haven't used a CF card for over 2 years since I installed the hard drive. So the only advantage I see from using CF cards is if I wanted to collab with someone. So I never bothered to buy any other cards, since my 250mb CF is more than enough to swap files for a collab.

If anyone want's to test the speed difference between the newer, faster CF cards and the older ones, I'd love to see the results. But I'm sure that I read in the past that if there is a difference, it's barely noticeable at best.

I was reading this topic before, but I was looking for informations about ULTRA and Extreem CF cards.
In person, I was changed ( MPC 2000 XL) hard drive disc to card memory, because on gigs I need quick montage and I don't want to heave hard rack.
My card reader is a little" hand made version" and support only 512MB : /
