quick question

im ready to order my mpc4000, im going to buy it off musicians friend. I was wondering if anyone knew if akai stopped producing the mpc4000's with the grey pads, I think those are old concept pics but im not sure..

I really want the black pads

Akai never shipped MPC 4000 with Gray pads. The pictures that are on web sites that feature the Gray pads are from an original test unit of the 4000. All MPC 4000 have Black pads.
