i recently got my mpc 2500 after waiting 4 months for my friend to ship it to me haha. but thats a story for another day.
this is my first time working with a mpc or even touching or seeing one in real life.
i havent realy gone into much to figure it out since i been abit busy lately.
the more i sit and figure things out the more im starting to like the machine, at first i taught to myself did i just wasted the money cause im clueless as to whats going on.
on windows i can do things with my eyes closed, kinda same as with my cellphone. but hopefully ill end up that way with the mp also, haha.

so i guess my question is how long does it take a guy to master this machine?
my biggest fear is that i might not get to that point where i can just do it without thinking, that way its just more about making the beat without having to figure out where to go todo a certain thing...

That's not even a fair question. lol. Everyone has their own pace at which they learn their machines ya know.

Take your time and don't get frustrated or start to think you should be at such and such level by a certain time.

Just do you.

Relax... There is a learning curve just as there is with most gear. Dont be in too big of a rush to "Master" the 2500. I have had my 2500 for about 3 years now and I am still learning some of it's more advanced functions. Just keep workin' with it. Before you know it, you'll be really comfortable using it and will be able to perform the basic functions without even thinking too much about it.

Few problems with it but I have been using an MPC for 16 years from the 3000 to the 2000 now 2500.

I took me 3 hours and 2 of them was reading and preparing mentally..

Then again I am an IT guy by trade so that comes natural
