ok when i record a sample from vinyl, the volume seems fine. Then i chopped them up into sliced samples and create a program. once i do that the chopped samples volume is lower than the original so when i drop a drum pattern, you can hardly hear the sample. is there anything im doing wrong here?

in the trim mode.....you can choose each sample as its been chopped...ex, sample01-1, sample01-2, etc. and click edit underneath the screen on each of those chops and scroll with the toggle to normalize and select do it....do this for each chop of the sample ...and itll raise the volume of each

Did you check what was the actual problem? Do you use a stereo sample? Did you look at the waveforms for each channel in the Trim view? What do they look like after you sliced the sample?

Then do the math. No data on one channel = no signal on one of your outs. I would check what actually goes into your MPC, if your cabling is correct etc.
