I was using a MV8000 at the time and was about to purchase a 1k. This guy went on and on about how the MPC is the greatest. Then he tried to get me to buy a MPC so that I could go to his MPC training class. Guess how much he charges? $500 an hour!

however i made some sick moves off it at the same time. I bought a full rack mount studio master pearl drum kit (2 toms, 2 floor toms, 2 rides, 2 crashes, a china bell 2 splashes.. all sabian, zildjian and paiste) kick, snare, and the rack and cases for every piece.. the whole kit.. payed 300 bucks.
I got a pair of pulse 153 yorkvilles for 200 bucks

keep your eyes open for studios that go bankrupt.
