for all you cats gettin into the crate diggin game, i jus wanted to share a few tips that will prevent you from losing consciousness while diggin thru those dusty crates.

i like to call this technique 'the swim':
ok so you basically take a deep breath and digg, when you run out of breath, move your head to the side like the swimmers do to catch a breath, then commence to digging. you're basically doing this to prevent yourself from inhaling crate dust, which can be really deadly.

another technique i like to call it is 'the field goal':
ok so basically your gonna face the crate, and then you take one step to the left (or right), similar to how they do it in football when they're getting ready to kick a field goal, and dig at a angle. this method is actually more effective than 'the swim', since you're completely out of the dust flow and digging at a consistent speed. it just doesn't look as cool as 'the swim' tho.

so these techniques, again like i said, will prevent you from losing consciousness when faced with crate dust and, if done properly, can increase your digging speeds by up to 25%-30%.

Obviously there's a time and a place. I'm not going to be rocking a mask and gloves at the local record store that keeps things clean and all. I'm going to be rocking those at the warehouse on the other side of the city or at a dealer's basement which has every 45 covered in dust and spider webs. :(
