The asr10 also has selectable sample rates, where on the asrx it's fixed at 16 bit 44.1K. The asr10 rack and asr10 keyboard both have a maximum ram of 16mb... which should be enough if you have a mpc because if you need more memory just sample on the mpc as well.

I looked into the ASR X, but I liked the ASR 10 better because not only can I use it for sampling and effects I can also control my other midi modules with it in keyboard format with out having to shift up or down octaves (that alone is worth the price difference between the ASR X Pro and ASR 10 keyboard). I did however grab one without the SCSI for $465 (which sucks) but on a brighter note I just copped the OEX6sr off of eBay so atleast I don't have to track one instrument at a time. Anybody holding on to a spare SCSI upgrade that wants a little change holla at me.
